5"x12" oil on primed wood panel.   Same place as the last painting posted but if you look closely you will see some differences like the reflection in the water and the mountains of the Alaska Range across Cook Inlet are more visible ... not covered by clouds.   Happy Thanksgiving Day!

9"x 12" oil on primed wood panel.   This painting is of a view form a friend's house who I sometimes cat sit for in Anchorage, AK.  They have a beautiful home on a bluff right in town that looks over all the houses below and right out to Cook Inlet.  The land formation in the left of the painting is called Pt. Woronzof.   So this painting was painted in plein air, however, I was inside looking out large glass windows as I painted.  The temperature was roughly 12 degrees outside at the time!

Mt. Marathon

9"x 9.5"  oil on primed wood panel SOLD.  Mt. Marathon is one of the majestic mountains that boarders the seaport town of Seward, Alaska.  It is one of many mountains in the area that inspire me in my paintings.  The photo for this painting was taken  in the spring as I was returning form Orca Island Cabins.

Island Passage

 This painting is of a narrow passageway next to Orca Island in Humpy Cove, Resurrection Bay south of  Seward, Alaska.  This passageway attracts many kayakers during the summer months. 6" x12" oil on primed wood panel.  SOLD

This is a 5 x 12" oil painting I painted last spring.  The photo that I used to paint from was taken during the month of May in Humpy Cove , 9 miles from Seward.

This oil painting is 7.5" x 7" and painted on a primed wood panel.    Some of you may know I have property in Humpy Cove, Resurrection Bay in Seward, Alaska. We rent out cabins there and kayaks are available for our guests to use. This scene is very close to our cabins and a popular spot for kayakers to paddle around.
