10" x 12"  Oil on canvas.  Sold

Yellow long stem roses!  My desire when painting is always to keep the painting fresh and loose feeling.  This seems especially hard to do when painting delicate flower peddles!  This is the largest of my flower paintings.    Thank you for following my ART!

  1. Susan, You certainly are capturing the delicacy of the rose - with its petals so defined. I know how hard this is to do - as my Mother tried for so many years to paint roses. Keep up the exceptional work! Love seeing the variety of work you do, from portraits to landscapes to flowers. And keeping the spirit of Alaska coming through them all. Jane

    1. Jane, thank you for your comments it helps me to hear what people are thinking. Roses are so challenging to paint but they are something I love so I will likely keep painting them. Thanks again!
